"...from the town hall" - 11.08.2023

Dear fellow citizens,

- especially residents of Barl:

We are approaching the deadline for registering for local heating in Barl, and I would once again like to urge you to send your contract for connection to the local heating network to Kreiswerke Cochem-Zell by next Tuesday, 15 August 2023.

It is of great importance that we can attract enough interested parties for the connection by this deadline in order to be able to build a future-proof heat supply network in the residential areas I and II on the Barl.

I would therefore like to appeal to all homeowners in Barl I and II: If you have not yet submitted your application, take advantage of this last chance and send the signed contract to Kreiswerke Cochem-Zell. Of course, the contract can also be handed in personally at the Zell municipal administration. We will then forward it for you.

Let's use this unique opportunity together and make an important contribution to a sustainable energy supply in our community. Local heating in Barl offers numerous advantages, not only for us as individual households, but also for our environment and future generations.

I thank all those who have already pledged their support and hope for a lively participation by the deadline. Let's take a step together towards an environmentally friendly future.

Secure your admission tickets in time for the upcoming dates!

From 1 to 3 September, our city is all about the "800 Years of City Rights" celebration, and we have three great events planned for you at once.

We will kick things off on Friday, 1 September, from 7 p.m. with a festive evening as part of the big ceremony. Here you can expect not only speeches, but also a programme full of special highlights.

On Saturday, 2 September, the music continues in the Schwarze Katz Hall in Zell from 7 pm. A great concert evening awaits you with the ravishing soprano Agnes Selma Weiland, accompanied by the Orchestra Association Zell and the impressive voices of the MGV Lyra Kaimt and the MGV Ediger. This will be an evening full of emotion and musical enjoyment!

And that's not all - on Saturday and Sunday the town centre of Zell will be transformed into a fascinating backdrop for a "Medieval Spectacle". Craftsmen, jugglers, minstrels and artists of all kinds will give you a breathtaking time. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the Middle Ages!

The best thing about it: Admission to all events is free on the occasion of the "Jubilee for all"! However, for organisational reasons, we have 400 seats available in the Schwarze Katz Hall in Zell for each event.

Therefore, we are giving out free admission tickets for the two events. Get your tickets at the Zeller Land Tourismus GmbH in the town hall - they will be happy to advise you and have the tickets ready for you. In order to prevent hoarding and possible misuse, we ask for your understanding that a maximum of two tickets will be handed out per request.

Of course, guests without an admission card are also welcome, as long as there are still places available. We want everyone to have the opportunity to experience these special events and celebrate our anniversary with us.

Let's enjoy these wonderful days together and celebrate our town history!

And we have "News from the History of Zell" too!

I wish you all a summery and cheerful week.

Your

Mayor

Hans-Peter Döpgen
